Dr. Emily graduated with her Bachelors degree in Health Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida in 2007. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida in 2011 and is a Webster and Perinatal Certified Chiropractor through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

She has been married to her husband, Steven DeRocco, since 2010 and they have six charismatic children together. All six children were born at home, five of them caught by Steven (three of them before the midwives arrived!), including their set of twin boys who were born on Steven’s birthday.

Birth has always been a fascination for Dr. Emily, even at an early age, and now it is her passion in her prenatal and pediatric practice.  Taking care of mommas throughout the perinatal journey (before, during, and after pregnancy) is at the heart of her practice. She shares her love for all things pregnancy and birth with her patients. Attending births with her patients to offer chiropractic care during the labor and birth process is one of her favorite past times. Dr. Emily loves encouraging her patients to trust in their bodies and the normal physiologic process that is pregnancy and birth.

Alongside her passion for prenatal chiropractic, is her love for pediatric chiropractic. Babies and children have an enormous amount of growth and development to do in a short amount of time and regular chiropractic care helps them grow with ease. Dr. Emily loves sharing her passion for natural parenting techniques such as breastfeeding, co-sleeping, elimination communication, cloth diapering, and baby-led weaning to name a just a few! She loves being a resource for moms as they traverse this journey called motherhood.
